I’ve always wanted to write an article that said “nestled in the heart” of somewhere. Today I get to do that with a business called The Kindred Spirit. So here goes.

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Spartanburg SC, this little shop has warmed my heart ♥️.

I finally got a spot in one of the monthly sold-out Charcuterie classes there. It was taught with so much style, class, and thoughtfulness that a group of considerably diverse women who had basically never seen each other before filled the room with laughter, joy, and just all-around good energy the entire time.

Two friends, Susanne Troutt who owns the little shop and Haley Grant the teacher of the night (seen in the photo at the top) and also the owner of Creative Balance Charcuterie, introduced us to the art which is ever rising in popularity today. Everything was so well thought out. The ingredients were so good and so fresh. When the class ended, we each had a beautiful piece of art and some real and authentic knowledge to use in the near future.
